This was so incredibly cute. One of my most anticipated reads, and it did not disappoint. Rivals-to-lovers will never not be superior. The banter was everything! The sexual tension had me kicking my feet and giggling. Emily and Jack also felt so Nessian coded, which made me love them more. This was definitely darker and more emotional than her other books in the series and felt like a love letter to eldest daughters. I definitely saw my older sister in Emily, which made me want to jump into the book and hug her. I also loved seeing Emily slowly trust Jack with her emotions. It had me clutching my heart and holding back tears fr. The only reason I didn't give it a full rating was that it took me a while to get fully invested in the story at the start, and I also felt like it dragged on a little at the end. Now I'm just impatiently waiting for Sarah Adams to announce Maddie's book.
"You are not alone, Emily. I would walk through my worst memories to get to you every single time."
literally wishing jack was real so he could say this to me too ðŸ˜
