My first Stephen King book ! First off, nobody told me his writing is exceptionally good? Like classic level good? I didn't expect that at all... the premise was interesting but the characters not so much, nor likeable. Billy was alright, everyone else sucked. The ending was alright, although I would've liked it if it were a little less vague, even if David himself admits it's vague. Don't get the wrong idea; I will most certainly continue to read Stephen King's books if I end up feeling in the mood to read one, I just can't rate a book higher than what I've given this if it has little characterisation. I mean I did just decide to read this because of the 🎃 season we're in right now and not for any character-driven elements so I'm really not at all complaining !!
