The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver
4.0
This was a mammoth effort to get through. It was worth it though. I kind of liked how the story ended up mirroring things happening in my real life, like I read about the end of world war 2 and the H-bomb as I was riding on a train to Hiroshima, and the whole iron curtain thing was being described the same day I found out my tour guide grew up in east Berlin and was out partying with her Uni mates the day the wall came down. Now to go see the Frida and Diego exhibition that is coming to Sydney!
