This book was fine if you’re the sort of person who likes this sort of book. But I feel like this is my least favorite kind of fiction. It doesn’t say anything new (which is fine! I read books that day the same things on repeat all the time) and seems to wallow in the depressing reality of marriage and life. Reading about affairs and people doing silly midlife crisis things just doesn’t tickle me. I mostly just felt a deep sense of discomfort while reading this.
