A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer
4.0
*Reread rating 4 stars.*
I completely forgot 90% of this book since reading it a few years ago. Like I know I'm bad a remembering books, but usually, I remember things as I read them. I was just listening to this via audiobook and just did not remember any of this stuff happening lol. I'm glad I did a reread before going into the third book because I probably would have been really confused going into the third book. I have pretty similar feelings as I did originally reading it. Though I was much more annoyed by Lia Mara than I was when I first read it. I honestly think that has more to do with the voice actor than her actual character though. I don't know why it annoyed me so much but it did.
It was heartbreaking to see the crack between Grey and Rhen's relationship and I really appreciated seeing that all played out in this sequel. I also think this has a very satisfying ending. I'm really excited to read the third book finally, more so than I was. Even though I've heard such ehh things about it.
*4.5*
I loved this so much! I really enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would. Even though I really enjoyed the first book I enjoyed this even more. Getting to know the characters more. Getting to know new characters and learning more about the world. I don't think the world building is as deep as I would have loved but definitely an improvement from book one! I was struggling a little bit the first bit of the book. Like I didn't have anything particularly I didn't like but I just wasn't completely invested but around the half way point I just fell in love with everything. I cannot wait for book three.
