I had picked up this one alongside the first at my library just before lockdown because I liked the premise and loved the covers, and despite being completely underwhelmed by the first book, I still gave this one ago. I will say that I found the writing flowed better in this one, and I was a little more gripped by the characters, but I still found the plot slow moving and somewhat generic.
