The Emily Wilde series has my whole heart! I love the light academia vibes, the cozy fantasy setting, and the style of the book being a journal with academic footnotes and sources. The characters are loveable and Fawcett blended enough realism into the fantastical world to keep the books feeling believable.

"Emily Wilde's Compendium of Lost Tales" was my least favorite in the series because the pacing seemed off and some plot points felt a little too disjointed, but I still enjoyed the book and am sad to say goodbye to Emily and Wendell.
