This book was good but it could’ve been so much better. The premise was amazing I love a thriller with a remote setting where everyone has a motive. The set up with the transcripts of interviews and the audience not knowing what happened to the bride, Kaavi, until the very end was great. The story would’ve benefited so much from flashbacks of the past. The author did a lot of telling and not showing. It had characters explain things in drawn out monologues instead of just showing us what happened. I really enjoyed how she made the main character, Amaya, seem one way only for that perception to flipped on its head that was amazing. I loved how everyone has a motive but I felt that no else’s motive was as strong as Amaya’s though. The plot twists did genuinely shock me and I ended up being so sucked in to these rich people’s lives. With a little bit more oomph this could have been one of my new favorite thrillers.
