AHH this book made me want to scream in the best way. I loved book one, but book two really got amped up. I loved Bree's development from the first book. She is so much more sure of herself even with facing a million obstacles and I loved seeing her strength. I also have had a soft spot for Selwyn Kane since his introduction and I am absolutely thrilled he was more present here. This book was so intense and while it dealt with magic and a fantasy world, it also dealt with present day hardships, such as grief, racism, and understanding your own abilities and self worth. The magic was so unique and I couldn't stop reading. I can't believe I was left on another mind-blowing cliffhanger, but this book was so good and so worth it. I cannot wait for book three and I am so invested in these characters. The twists and turns really had me going and I felt like I was screaming along with everyone.
