The author's son addresses the extensive shift in theme and character which helped me stick through to the end. The subject matter was interesting and I liked the way the character realistically morphed according to the influence of political and religious zealotry; it's sobering how relevant it is for today's world. I just couldn't help but hope for the book to hurry up and end. I definitely need a long wait before tackling the next.
