(3.5/5) I had an Audible credit and read this book that way, which is not normally how I consume books, so I found this one a bit hard to get into. Baldree has a great voice and all of the characters were very well developed. That being said, they didn't have much to do. This book is the very definition of soft and low-angst, but I found myself wishing some chapters would move more quickly. The world-building is also top notch, but - again - I wish more actually happened in the world itself. If you're looking for comfort in a fantasy setting, this is one to consider.
