Regretting You by Colleen Hoover

4.0

You guys, I thought I was already over YAs and chick-lit but now guess I'm not?

This is your typical book of a tangled mess that either (1) annoys you to death so you'd leave it as a disordered romantic mess as it is without thought or (2) brings you a little satisfaction to witness the already disentangled product of your exhausted patience after everything, now that you triumphantly finished the book.

The theme, the character development, the plot, and the clever fixations all worked fine for me. I'm giving it a 4 because I really thought this book wasn't going to please me but I was wrong (thanks again to our mini book club for recommending a book I won't normally pick so I didn't know I'd actually enjoy). I don't usually like romance but I sure do appreciate characters like Morgan, Clara, Jonah, and Miller (god yes, Jeremiah Miller). But Morgan and Clara, I can't always excuse them with their shitty decisions and I still firmly believe that they should've gone to therapy. No one can convince me otherwise.
