Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

I am suffering from a serious book hangover from this series. I heard about Ninth House from a book blogger and thought I'd give it a chance. I checked it out from the library and started listening and reading it. It started out a bit confusing and a little slow. Part of that may have been getting lost listening to it while driving. I rewound it, started reading it, and then I got hooked in. An urban fantasy about ghosts, demons, magic, secret societies at Yale, and discovering who you are. Alex Stern is imperfect, but it's that imperfection that draws you in. When I finished the first book I knew this was a book I would read again so I bought a hard copy of Ninth House and Hell Bent.
No spice, definitely trigger warnings for sexual assault and mention of rape but no graphic details. There is also violence and blood.
