This was darling. We love a small town romance with the seclusive town grump. Of course our heroine had to have a deaf father so she could speak sign language with our mute hero. Turns out he’s not THAT grumpy.

When he leaves town towards the end of the book to “see if he can make it on his own”, it was a bit eye roll-y for me. And of course Bree is soooo forlorn while Archer is gone. Big happy reunion when he comes back. They heal each other. It’s lovely.
