I was recommended this book after I read None of This is True by Lisa Jewell which for me is one of the best thrillers I’ve ever read. I had hoped Then She Was Gone would be as good, but it just wasn’t. It wasn’t bad, but I had hoped for a “did NOT see that coming” moment and it just didn’t happen. There was no real twist.. but a crazy story nonetheless and it was pretty engaging.
