The Rogue Queen by Emily R. King

This third installment in the Hundredth Queen series was soooooooo much better than the second book. It has a different plot, with more war and a better resolution.

I liked how there was more tension between the love triangle-not love triangle between Kali, Deven, and Prince Ashwin. I liked the sub plot with Kalinda's magic being overrun by the ice cold demon fire sent from Udug and that part of Prince Ashwin's heart's wish was to rule with Kalinda by his side (and Captain Naik). I also liked the dedication from Deven to protect those he loves and how Kalinda will do anything for her nation.

This book made me feel something - very good writing on the topic of Kalinda's sadness (of losing Jaya and Deven).

Very nice book and I can't wait to see if Kalinda will save Deven from the evernight (Of course she will, she's the protagonist. The only book I've ever read that didn't have a happy ending was "Allegiant" by Veronica Roth).
