This is what epic fantasy is supposed to feel like. It has an interesting magic system, a great political intrigue and a good romance in the background. I feel like Suri mastered the art of having enough stakes without resorting to the promise (or execution) of any form of sexual violence against women. The protagonist are also really fun to follow. Cannot wait to pick up the second one!
