Apocalipsis Z: La ira de los justos by Manel Loureiro
3.0
This was the third book in the series. I usually never expect much on a third book. And...I was relatively pleased with this book but I had to put it down and walk away for awhile. You see, when the author starts mentioning Aryans-I get real uncomfortable. I never know if they are going to start using derogatory terms (check and done) or descriptions (not done).
Nevertheless, our heroes begin on a boat, sailing away from their last fiasco. They hit a tidal wave or some kind of ocean storm and they get rescued by a ship. The ship is headed for Gulfport, Mississippi (I can't remember the state) in the US. It's the alleged last uninfected city.
Once they arrive, the author adds things like segregation, crazy wackadoo pastors and scientists, Aryan and Mexican leaders-now you've got yourself a stew for destruction. It was doomed from the start and somehow our protagonist manages to get his finger into everything.
It was alright. It was sad because towards the end, the author does what a lot of them do, start killing off people you like. There was an epilogue that wrapped it up tightly and left very little room for a sequel.
