The Sunbearer Trials by Aiden Thomas

4.0

I really enjoyed the first half of the book, but I’m writing this review for another reason. As a Deaf person, we don’t get much representation. When we do. It’s usually incredibly not accurate. However, this story has a Deaf character, which surprised me. I was a bit nervous, because I was loving the book so far and really didn’t want it ruined by a minor detail. However. The Deaf boy (I’m avoiding using names so I don’t spoil anything) was an amazing character. Well written. Accurate. And my favorite character through the whole book (when they were mentioned). Excellent work on representing a portion of the Deaf community. As a side note. All representation in this book was very well done!
