Dnf 85%

This was so much longer than it needed to be. The first half I was good with, I liked Haddox. He wasn’t my favorite, but I liked him well enough.

50% to about 70% I was bored and skimming. I can’t even say anything about what was happening during this portion because I just really didn’t care and only powered through because I wanted to see the confrontation between Haddox and Cole. (Which was a complete let down)

After 70% Haddox went completely down the drains for me. He lost me when he started blaming his past for shit that he did in present time...

I understand childhood trauma carries on especially when it isn’t properly dealt with. BUT what does him getting beat as a kid have to do with him actively choosing to allow Piper’s ex watch him fuck her without her permission?

She literally explained to him the problem was he took away her choice, which, given his childhood friend, he should have had a bigger reaction to being told he took away someone’s choice especially in regards to sex. But that’s just my opinion.

Honestly I was just yelling at my phone that he needed to grow up during this whole point. Especially when he gave the excuse that his parents beat him and they never apologized so that’s why he didn’t know how to apologize. That makes no fucking sense.

And then it just keeps going. I tried really hard to power through because I had less than 20% to go, but my god. There was still another like 6 chapters to go including the epilogue and I couldn’t do it.
