The Humans by Matt Haig
3.0
3.5 rounded to 3. Treads the same ground that the other Haig books do, but not as well. But even a rough around the edges Haig book still has a kind of genuineness that makes the sentimentality work. The alien-in-a-human-body angle is a good one to explore the themes of the story, and the gradual awakening of the main character is nicely done.
One of my small gripes about the book is how often it uses violence as a means of absolution. Just doesn't quite fit with the general theme of the book.
