A new YA thriller is on the way just in time for spring break! (That's what kids these days do over the break, right? Read?)
Thank you to HarperCollins Canada and Inkyard Press for my gifted ARC of Bad Like Us for review.
Nine friends head to a secluded lodge owned by a relative for spring break. Soon, it's only eight of them.
The chapters alternate POVs from Eva and Colton, as well as cuts to the weeks prior to the gathering. Social media posts, group chats, police interrogations, and news articles fold into the narrative.
I'll be honest, this one took me a long time to get into. Lots of characters, lots of teenage dialogue. I questioned if I'm too old for this kind of thing.
Well, there's no age limit on thrillers, now is there? Bad Like Us ended up with some great twists and reveals that I didn't expect.
Recommended!
For release on March 5.
