The Atlas Complex by Olivie Blake
5.0
What can I say but “wow”! This book, this whole trilogy, has blown me away.
I think I’ve made it known in the past that I’m a huge fan of Olivie Blake’s style of writing. And this book is just a prime example of how beautiful, captivating, eloquent and completely unique her writing is. It is incomparable.
More than anything this book is about characters. A bunch of morally grey characters. They are neither good nor bad. They are just making decisions depending on the hands they are being dealt. And they’re being dealt some very odd and twisted cards. My feelings about all the characters changed many times. But in this book I truly loved Nico and Callum. Mostly for their black sense of humour.
The action in this book is compelling and addictive. I was hooked and could not put the book down. I would quite happily have given up adulting to just sit and read.
There are twists and turns galore and it is absolutely impossible to guess what is going to happen next. And this meant that I felt a real sense of foreboding reading “The Atlas Complex”. I could not predict what was going to happen to these characters. And I absolutely inhaled the last 150 pages of the book. They were just gripping.
This was the perfect end to the most amazing trilogy. Olivie Blake is now definitely one of my favourite authors and I will read anything she writes.
