The Witness for the Dead by Katherine Addison
mysterious
slow-paced
5.0
Felt a little less plotful than The Goblin Emperor, despite there actually being plenty of plot, in the form of the mystery with which it opens. It was definitely in the background, however, with the book feeling a lot more like a slice-of-life look at Celehar than anything else. Who lives a surprisingly exciting life for a death-priest, but still. An excellent followup, in my opinion.
