Wow this book was wild. I haven't actually read a book of short stories since I was young. And honestly it was so motivating. The stories instantly captivated me and the world building happened so fast. The characters were all so unique and different you can definitely tell Liu is a skilled writer. It was crazy how some stories could just end
in death of the narrator, but I suppose that's the difference between short stories and novels
. I also really enjoyed all the metaphors that were present and warnings about the future of today's society. What at first seemed like science fiction became a bit more realistic with each characters perspective about the
Singularity
. Overall, I would 100% recommend this book as an unexpected gem among novels of adult science fiction.
