Fighting Monsters Part 2 by Sam Hall
2.0
As I said in my review of part one, this is not really my kind of book so I’m not going to seep into this review. Take it with a grain of salt if this is up your alley!
All things considered, I enjoyed the plot of this book. I like the idea of Rosanna’s Coven following her bloodline after her death, and I wish that we had more of that. Honestly, the only real parts that the monsters had in these books was to bone her and a couple of magic lessons. Considering these books are supposed to be about the monsters, there was a huge focus on Maddox and the Green Man.
Now, that being said. Maddox. Holy man Maddox. He had me. My heart literally broke. The plot surrounding Morgan and her Uncle and their fight over the estate was well done. The twist at the end of the book was not something that I was expecting and I really enjoyed it.
At the end of the day, I wish that there was a bit more focus on the magic in these books, and dare I say, the monsters minus the smut.
