10% Happier by Dan Harris
4.0
As a journey, this book is quite interesting and I enjoyed it (except the silent retreat).
As a sales pitch for meditation, this book was supposed to sell meditation to me but didn't. It sold me to try new things to solve the problems I have, but it didn't sell me the idea to try to hammer screws.
Mindfulness can make you 10% happier by removing the stress that is supposed to keep you alive but in modern society is not necessary. I have different tools for achieving the same results but I'm willing to try if I ever feel the need to become 10% happier by briefly shutting down my internal narrator in stressful situations.
