The Stranger at the Wedding by A.E. Gauntlett
2.0
While The Stranger at the Wedding promises intrigue and suspense, it ultimately falls short of delivering a satisfying story. The title feels like a misdirect, as the so-called “stranger” plays a minimal role in the larger narrative. The plot meanders through Annie and Mark’s whirlwind romance, only to end on an abrupt and underwhelming note. Questions linger unanswered, and the pacing feels rushed in key moments. Honestly, Jane Eyre did it better.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the advance read. While this one didn’t quite work for me, I appreciate the opportunity to give it a try.
