This short story was a lot of fun.

The pacing of this story was really perfect, I never felt rushed or that things went too fast but it also didn't drag out or became boring. This is a big strength and because of that all the other parts of this book could really shine.

The main character Murasaki is great and someone who is confident in herself. As a disabled person I can say her disability was written extremely well. Especially the way she handled and talked around her disability was done spot on and gave me some simple but emotional quotes I saved when she talked about it. Those were (as a disabled person) the classic moments when ablebodied people don't know how it is to be sick all the time and start assuming a lot of things. One that stood out to me was:
You would understand that, if you'd been sick for as long as I have. It's a blessing to be able to work.

The love interest in the book is also very lovely. I fall easily for someone who tries to do their best but messes things up because of it. He also treated Murasaki with so much care especially around her disability it made for a very sweet dynamic.

The story parts outside of the romance were a lot of fun too and kept the plot flowing naturally. I liked those parts and am curious to see where this continues onto when potential next books in this series come out.

Concluding this is a highly entertaining story with a sweet romance and great disability rep.

I received an eARC and this is my honest review.
