I hated this book when I first read it because it broke my heart so badly. Having now lived similar situations to that were hard to weather, I've completely change my mind on this book.

When you live and work with animals, especially horses, heartbreak is the name of the game. Sometimes it can seem gruesome but that's what it is. I'll make it a mission to re-read this in 2021
