Bossypants by Tina Fey

5.0

My review of this book will never be fair and should never be trusted, for the first time I saw Tina Fey on Weekend Update I said, "I want to be her when I grow up" and that dream has never gone away. If anything, it's strengthened through her simultaneously blithe and anxious storytelling. It makes me terrified of and desperate for a Hollywood career. It makes me want to write more while also feeling woefully inadequate about my abilities to string words together. The book makes me laugh and sigh and think, and that's why it was the perfect book to start 2020 with...but, seriously, don't trust my review. I am far too biased to see it clearly.
