The Places That Scare You: A Guide to Fearlessness in Difficult Times by Pema Chödrön
informative
slow-paced
4.5
Pretty accessible and inviting read to Bodchitta - a Buddhist philosophy of meditation. It provided tools and examples of ways of thinking and looking at the the difficulties life throws our way along with how we can interpret and react to them to awaken our basic human goodness, connect deeply with others (a known loved one, a complete stranger, and a whole group/community of people).
Pema Chödrön (Buddhist nun), speaks on accepting ourselves and everything around us along with faults and imperfections and unmasks how staying with our emotions and the vulnerable places that scares us or causes discomfort can strengthen or sense of being.
