Twist of Faith by Ellen J. Green
2.0
My 2023 reading challenge is in concert with another: to get through the physical books in my house, downloads on my kindle app and audiobooks in my library I’ve yet to read. Once I finished my 2022 challenge I started with this, the first book on my Kindle whose cover art caught my attention.
I realized, quickly, that this must be one of those terrible kindle reads you can pick for free. The writing was in need of serious trimming, the pacing was an utter slog and I was so confused by the plot it was nearly comical.
I didn’t like a single character or even find them sympathetic, and their japes were completely unbelievable. There were multiple storylines, the most important in the past, that never took root.
My advice is to skip this one.
