I LOVED this book. Instantly a new favorite. One of the rare books where I immediately could picture this story being made into a movie or TV show (please I beg you). A fantasy novel with fae elements that felt fresh and didn't go heavy handed with lore or world building. Plus features a corgi sidekick named Trefor (who has a bonus story on @em_llojo website!!), who in the one spoiler I will give survives and no harm comes to him (because these are the facts we need to know) I loved all the characters and the romance? Chef's kiss. "But in his heart of hearts he did not choose the city, he did not choose a kingdom. He chose her" I MEAN COME ON.
