The perfect October read! I haven't read Practical Magic since I was in high school, but I have probably seen the (not entirely book-faithful) film adaptation dozens of times. This prequel was perfect! Full of magic, not just in the spells and curses, but also in the settings so real, you can almost taste them. I wish I could dive into the NYC of Hoffman's Owens siblings.
