Fast paced. Epic battle scenes. Multiple POVs. An intriguing mystery.

This new series from budding author Cameron Michaels is great for fans of epic high fantasy. The characters are unique, but for me, some details in the beginning threw me off, and at a certain point it all became too faced paced. So much was going on that I think this could have actually benefitted from a pull back.

It’s a classic case of “first of a series” syndrome, where you are given a lot of information all at once to set you up for a new world and the world-building was just punch after punch of telling over showing.

Overall it was a decent read.
