The writing style isn't for me. I found the characters' dialogue to be like the way a formal letter is written, so it wasn't a natural way that people would actual talk in spoken conversation. I understand it takes place during WWII, so the way people spoke and interacted with one another wasn't the same as it is now, but I've read lots of other books in this genre that haven't had dialogue in that manner. Just not for me!
