At first, I was not sure what I was going to rate this book as this was my first Stephen king novel and I was not use to the writing style. Not gonna lie, the use of the slurs really threw me off and I was not a fan? It did go hand in hand with the story I guess because the antagonists were bigoted so I guess it was justified for the setting and time the story took place in.
But once I got past the writing style and the language, the story ended up turning out very good. I loved how the story wrapped up in the end and we were able to see Holly come out on top. Not sure if I’m gonna read anymore Stephen king novels but I did enjoy this one for what it was.
