This was such a fun tennis sports romance read. A perfect summer read!! I really loved the forbidden secret relationship in this story. Crosby and Maxine just fit together the chemistry was off the charts. Their story of their meeting hooked me from the beginning and fell for their slow burn relationship. This story focuses on Maxine Draper who is trying to make a comeback in her tennis career after an injury. Crosby is a manager at a tennis club in Hamptons, part time tennis’s umpire with a shady history. He’s complex and she’s complex. The character development between the two and how they helped one another form their past issues to become better people. It is such a fantastic sports romance that really included many aspects of tennis from training, to the umpiring, sports gambling, fixed matches and even substance abuse. I loved the chapters detailing the various matches I felt that I was actually witnessing the match in person. I just really enjoyed this book!
