This book is my second 5 star read of 2024. This book broke my heard and peace it back together during ACT 3. I felt so bad for Caprice because she went through so much trauma in her childhood. Caprice lost her mother and the people that was suppose to love and protect her did do that at all. I love the fact that had Shaun in her life because atleast she has someone that care about her.  Shaun was the type of friend that every child needed especially when she was in high school. This book was beautiful and sad at the same time.  This is my first book by this author and I am so happy that I got a chance to read this story.
