By the Fates, Fought by Patricia D. Eddy

4.0

I received a free copy of this book with no obligation to post a review.
In By the Fates, Fought, we continue the story of Raven, Ealasaid, and the rest of their group who have become family. Though it seems that Ealasaid is finally free, and she relishes her time with Raven and her new family, danger starts creeping back in and they soon don't know whom to trust as they begin to learn more about what the devils' plans are for Ealasaid. The book is fast-paced and suspenseful, with danger all around.
I liked that the book was written from even more points of view than Raven and Ealasaid. It let us learn some of the characters even better. I think my biggest dislike was how easy is always is for the devils to get a drop on our main characters, and how easily they seem to get captured, but it adds to the urgency and suspense of the story.
This story, like the first in the series, is quite dark and there are scenes of torture.
The book ends on a cliffhanger and I have already started the next book to see what happens!
