INCREDIBLE! 5/5 stars. My first Cusk, and now I am desperate to read more. So poignant about gender roles, patriarchy, art making, motherhood, and identity without hitting you over the head. I loved this meditative read. It was only 200 pages but it took my quite a while to get through it as it required a lot of focus and in the moment processing. I want to do more research about what this is an homage to, but it definitely stands alone without that context as well. Tony forever!
