Fallen by Lauren Kate
1.0
I just love reviewing bad books.
Despite the raving fans, this book is unbelievably bad. It's in times like these when I must recall to your mind the Twilight series. People like those too, folks. You can't trust 'em, none of 'em.
So anyway, Fallen first turned me off when the guy who was obviously going to be the love interest (you can always tell who it is because of how much they are described. It's actually kind of pathetic) flipped the girl off. HE FLIPPED HER OFF. And she's all like "What kind of deeper meaning was there behind this blatant insult? I must explore the possibilities by stalking him and going through his files in a seriously creepy fashion."
Soo yeah, there's that.
Yeah.
Basically that just ruined the whole book for me.
Another thing that bothered me was the the cover had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the book. Like, what? What's with the dress? And the woods? And the weird fantasy feel? This book is a paranormal romance, and there is a serious difference between paranormal romance and fantasy, I'm sorry.
This book is right up there with Hush, Hush as far as badness goes. A lot of people like that one too, folks. But come on...the guy's name is Patch, and he's a freaking jerk, pardon my language.
Yeah. Bad book. Don't read it. Or read it, if, like me, you enjoy reading bad books. Also, bad books just kind of endear themselves to me. I read reviews about this book, and this book seemed pretty bad, so I instantly wanted to read it. It's because I close them at the end and lean back and sigh and think "That was one bad book, not even gonna lie." And I feel full inside. And that was extremely exaggerated, but this review's got to end somehow.
