This "Beauty and the Beast" retelling is the second book in the "Meant to Be" series but works perfectly as a standalone. It's the perfect read for those that fell for the grumpy-sunshine trope in "Beauty and the Beast" as our main character, Izzy, makes a power move for a promotion and shows up at the door of Beau Towers, a celebrity that is WAY behind on the manuscript of his memoir. When she is talked into staying to help him with the memoir, she finds that his hard exterior may be more than just arrogance and his walls may lower just a little for her.

I found this adorable and such a cozy read. The "beauty and the beast" references that were sprinkled in were so much fun to find.
Spoiler I did find it odd, but understandable in the who concept of the retelling, that Izzy would talk to inanimate furniture throughout the house.
