Discerning the Voice of God - Bible Study Book: How to Recognize When God Speaks by Priscilla Shirer
4.0
Overall a wonderful study. This is my second study with Priscilla Shirer - I do the studies with my daughter - and both were completed during challenging seasons of my life. This was a season in which I found it so difficult to make time for the study, but my daughter and I kept going and we reaped much from our obedience to finish; sometimes one must crawl, cry out, fight to the finish line in order to reap much. I have a more solid understanding of the Spirit that truly resides in the current temple that is our body. It's one thing to say God's Spirit lives within, but another all together to learn how to be obedient to His call on our life, to listen for His leading, and to strengthen and personalize that relationship via the study of His word and prayer.
I have at most a few criticisms, yet they are weighted enough to drop the rating by 1 star. Both criticisms are preference-based, the first being the reference to the different bible translations used throughout this study, my wish being that teachers would use that one translation they like instead of also referencing additional translations. I look up all verses presented in a study, yet I don't have all translations, and I don't like to look up via my computer as I can become distracted if the computer is on. I would have also liked more blank space and/or more width to the page for writing out answers and verses.
