A leeeeetle bit more world building and politics than I would have preferred but still a great holiday read. The author really builds an intricate world with complex stories and the characters grapple with some pretty intense grief throughout the story. This is a slowwwww burn (I’m talking 200+ pages in) but was worth it in the end. Hex can hex me any day 🥵
