Taylor Jenkins Reid holds in tightly to her crown as my favorite contemporary author. Malibu Rising has all the thrills of her work with the same nostalgic flair and as always compelling story lines with much larger over reaching messages. I fell deeply for almost every character in this book and the side plots were sometimes a welcomed reprieve for a page or two before carrying in with this tragic, glamours and beautiful story of found family, self love, and growth.
