I am glad that I decided to read this book. It was very insightful as an educator and as a parent.
This book brought to light several studies on "Grit" and it's effect on low socio-economic student groups. When students were taught character and grit, students were more likely to complete highs chool and college compared to other groups that were focused primarily on improving academic skills.
