Razorblade Tears by S.A. Cosby

Another book that will 100% be one of my top reads for 2021!
Y’all, this book was phenomenal! I finished it earlier this week and am still processing.
It was such a unique thriller. It gave me major Sons of Anarchy and The Last House on the Left vibes.
This book had so much depth. I could feel the emotions as I read—the grief, anger, hatred, guilt, and sadness. There were also several places where Ike and Buddy Lee had important discussions, especially on race and the LGBTQ+ community.
I was surprised by how much humor was sprinkled throughout—even with all of his flaws, I thought Buddy Lee was a great character and found myself cackling at some of his witty comments.
Were Ike and Buddy Lee perfect? Definitely not, but I that’s the point. They are flawed humans and weren’t the greatest fathers, but they fought to get justice for their sons and try to make up for their shortcomings.
If you haven’t read this one yet, I’m telling you—give it a try!!
