Not My Father's Son by Alan Cumming

5.0

Absolutely gorgeous and gutting memoir. Alan Cumming reflects on his past and present and reactions to two intertwined family stories: that of his abusive father, and that of his grandfather, who was mysteriously killed in the 1950s. The audiobook narrated by Cumming feels perhaps even more deeply personal and I really valued the insight and emotion carried in the narrative.
